As a food writer and food stylist, Shifra has spent the last decade revolutionizing the kosher food scene. In 2010, she was the creator and editor-in-chief of the award-winning Bitayavon Magazine, which then merged with Joy of Kosher Magazine in 2013. In 2018, she created Fleishigs magazine with her husband, Shlomo, where she curates topics, develops and tests recipes, and operates as a food stylist for each of Fleishigs’ eleven annual issues. Previously a high school history teacher, Shifra is also passionate about literature, psychology, and child development. In her spare time you will find her scouring the aisles of food markets and book stores. Shifra lives in Long Island, NY with her husband and three children.
