She's the National Evening News Anchor for Spectrum News Networks based in New York City. Sharon helped spearhead and launch the National newscasts. You can join her weekdays between 6pm and 6am. Prior to joining the Spectrum News team, Sharon was appointed by the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda to help run and revamp the Nation's TV station. Sharon and her team made tremendous strides and she leaves behind a legacy as a strong journalist who returned home to her island to give back. The station continues to be a success, and she mentors from afar. Sharon previously anchored NBC - WNCN's evening newscasts at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 in Raleigh, NC (DMA #24). She has a proven record of increasing ratings. When she joined the evening team, viewership increased an unprecedented 75%. Prior to nightside, she anchored WNCN's Morning newscasts. Sharon's strong anchoring and newsroom leadership skills will launch your newsroom to another level. While at WNCN, Sharon covered a wide range of breaking and feature stories. She was the first reporter to interview the fathers of three Muslim students murdered execution style by their neighbor in Chapel Hill, NC. She updated their stories throughout the federal investigation. Sharon anchored extended coverage of protestors in Durham, NC after the toppling of a Confederate monument, and the fight against HB2. Anchored extended hurricane coverage and was there when a NC teen found out he had a heart donor to the day he walked out of the hospital with a new heart. Sharon's reported from the Red Carpet for the Tony's, interviewed Ellen on her show, hosts from The Talk, Extra and acted on The Young & the Restless. She recently joined the Marvel Universe acting in Captain America: Brave New World (2025). She has a great love for acting. Sharon was born in Antigua and grew up in the public eye as the daughter of a politician/minister father and a Trinidadian mother. Growing up in four countries and experiencing so many cultures, including political strife, her inquisitiveness began at a young age. She has a thirst and passion for local, national and international news. You may recognize Sharon from various networks when she anchored in North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois. Plus acting on stage, CBS and the Big Screen. Sharon loves to spend time with her family, travel, play the piano and is a proud member of NABJ. She truly believes everyone has a story and she can't wait to tell yours.
