Claim your profileCurrently: Senior Producer, Off The Ball Weekend Formerly: Co-presenter of weekday morning show OTB AM on Off The Ball. Previously Weekend Producer with Off The Ball, a national sports radio programme based in Dublin. Previous to this I was a researcher working on The Hard Shoulder with Ivan Yates (weekdays 4-7pm) on Newstalk 106-108FM, after a year on the Newstalk Drive show with Chris Donoghue and Sarah McInerney. Prior to that I was on the freelance panel working mainly on Newstalk Lunchtime with Jonathan Healy, Moncrieff and the Breakfast Show with Ivan Yates & Chris Donoghue. I have also been a freelance sports writer at The42.ie and co-editor of Otwo magazine, (Arts and Culture supplement of The University Observer), UCD's award-winning student newspaper & nominee for Magazine of the Year at the 2015 National Student Media Awards. Other notable points: - Sports Editor of The University Observer (2013/14). - Diploma in Radio Production from Today FM School of Radio (Independent College Dublin). - Blogging and radio assistant experience at a morning radio show on RTÉ 2FM. - Contributor to Belfield FM student radio. - Articles published in both local and national press. - One of 8 candidates selected to take part in Journalism segment of the Royal Television Society (RTS) futures 'How to Make the News' Workshop. Trained in how to write and present news stories for television with UTV Live News Editor, Chris Hagan and UTV journalist Judith Hill. - Nominee for Sports Writer of the Year and Science Education Writer of the Year at the 2015 National Student Media Awards. Interviewees include: - Astronauts (six of the 12 men to have walked on the Moon, including Buzz Aldrin) - Hollywood actors incl. Brendan Gleeson, Brian Cox, Steven Yeun of The Walking Dead, RJ Mitte of Breaking Bad and Dame Julie Andrews.
