Claim your profileI am passionate about digital storytelling because of its global accessibility. I continue to want to be a part of the effort to close cultural gaps through my work in video production. I developed my reporting and writing skills as a reporter at Otterbein University. I wrote stories varying from the upcoming renovations to the school’s student union, to more sensitive stories detailing the university’s affiliation with the United Methodist Church, and coverage of the shooting of Westerville police officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering. During my undergraduate years I was able to produce video news packages for the university’s online video outlet, which is what sparked my interest in video production. I chose to minor in Spanish and Latin American studies so I can continue my efforts to aid communication gaps in people from varying cultural backgrounds. As a journalist, I value our resolve to cultivate a well informed society and I hope to invite people to become more curious and culturally competent through my work in multimedia journalism
