An academic and practical seminar was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of Namangan State Technical University within the framework of the “LANGUAGE FOR THE FUTURE” project. The event was opened by the Rector of the University, Professor Oybek Ergashev, with a keynote speech entitled “The Role of International Certificates in the Development of Various Specializations.” In his presentation, particular attention was paid to the importance of language certificates in teaching specialized subjects, their role in introducing innovations for the advancement of academic disciplines, as well as issues related to conducting joint scientific research. Following this, the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Mukhammadjon Dadamirzaev, emphasized the invaluable role of the English language in the development of technical sciences. He also highlighted the active participation of school teachers in scientific conferences and the importance of collaborative publication of academic articles. The seminar was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work Ma’rufjon Kayumov, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Ilkhomjon Abdurakhmonov, and the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Dildorakhon Khoshimova. Dildorakhon Khoshimova delivered a presentation on “Effective Strategies for Obtaining International Language Certificates.” Foreign professors Oh Yumrak (KAIST) and Millimo Mundia also participated in the event with their presentations. In addition, the department’s faculty members conducted practical workshops for school teachers focused on the challenges, effective methods, and advantages of obtaining both international and national language certificates. At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Isroil Ibragimov, summarized the event and certificates were awarded to actively participating teachers. Future plans to continue the series of workshops were also discussed. School teachers shared their feedback and impressions regarding the seminar and the conducted master classes.
