Claim your profileI'm a working journalist and graduate with a certificate in journalism, major in English and minor in media study. I worked at the Tampa Bay Times from 2015 to 2020. I spent about two years in Mississippi as a labor and and business reporter at Mississippi Today. I've been writing about the Texas energy and labor issues since late May of 2023 at the San Antonio-Express News. During my time in Texas, I've become an authority on the state power grid and the authorities who manage it. In my time at Mississippi Today, I spearheaded the organization’s first business reporting position, managed the state’s Gulf Coast coverage as a bureau-of-one, produced investigative journalism, with impactful coverage on mistreatment of Black farmworkers and abuse of the H-2A visa program garnering actions from the Department of Labor. I have expertise in covering the business of health care, including medical marijuana, staffing shortages, and Medicaid expansion.I've spent summers during college reporting at The Boston Globe, The Oregonian and The Buffalo News.
