She holds a Master's in Journalism from Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies. Before that, Saniya completed her undergraduate studies in Communications, Literature, and Psychology at Christ University, Bengaluru. Throughout her career, Saniya has gained valuable experience in various aspects of the media industry. From July 2020 to August 2023, Saniya worked as a Washington, D.C.-based reporter for CTFN where she covered areas including telecom M&A, antitrust, and Capitol Hill. She has interned with the social media desk at Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Washington, D.C., where she honed her skills in leveraging social platforms for news dissemination. She has also worked as a breaking news copywriter for Republic World in Mumbai, covering politics and national news while demonstrating her ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom. Saniya gained insights into business journalism and reporting on the financial markets while interning with The Economic Times in 2015. She has also served as a scriptwriter for Leeds Productions in Dubai, UAE, and as a scriptwriting intern with KKompany Media Solutions, a prominent integrated content provider in the MENA region.
