I have always been passionate about journalism and storytelling, but I decided to pursue it in 2020 as a career after years of working in clinical neuroscience research. I made the pivot because, frankly, working in journalism seemed like an exciting profession and one that would challenge and stimulate me.Going back to school to transition into journalism has been one of the best decisions I have made professionally. I believe my decision to take a risk and plunge into this field is reflective of who I am as a person and a journalist. I am curious, industrious, amenable, amiable and detail-oriented. I am ready to move to the next level and work full-time in a newsroom.
