I'm a foodie who works as a reporter in the restaurant and retail sector of the Austin Business Journal. As the Austin restaurant and retail market continues to grow in ideas and value, I will have a lot of stories to uncover and creative minds to connect with and could not be more excited to be part of sharing the growth. Before I got here, I was a reporter in Hays County, the fastest growing county in the U.S. Over my two years at the Hays Free Press, I became part of the community and uncovered some corruption in political offices, kept residents updated about the COVID-19 pandemic, shared the stories of community members and watched countless hours of city council meetings. I got to truly see the growth of Hays County through all the new housing developments and the pains it caused to some long-time residents, the incoming of new restaurants and projects, increase in tax rates and sitting through the ever-increasing traffic. I'm glad to now serve and connect the Austin Metropolitan community and learn more about its residents and business ventures.
