Born in Scotland Ruaridh Stewart has a diverse work experience in the field of photojournalism. Ruaridh started his career as a Photojournalist in Asia at the Hong Kong Standard in June 1994 and worked there until 1997. Following that, he joined Apple Daily - Next Media as a Photojournalist in September 1997, and continued until 2001. In 1999 Stewart was recipient of the Photographer Of The Year award in Hong Kong. In February 2002, Stewart became the News Director at ZUMA Press in California where he works on daily production of the award winning ZUMA Press Wire Service, handles assignments and helps publish zReportage.com. Ruaridh studied Photography, Communication and Media at Stephenson College Edinburgh from 1990 to 1992. Ruaridh lives in California with his wife and daughter and when not taking pictures.. he can be found mountain biking and taking pictures.
