I’m a seasoned journalist with over two decades of experience in reporting and editing across three continents — Asia, North America, and Europe. I've reported from a dozen countries, including the United States, China, Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, and Sweden. I currently work at Radio Free Asia in Washington, where I write and edit stories on a diverse range of topics from human rights and politics to prolonged conflicts, the environment, labor issues, trade, and development, in East and Southeast Asia. My role involves transforming raw, piecemeal reports by non-native English speakers into readable and thoroughly vetted hard news and enterprise stories. The work requires scrupulous research, wide-ranging background knowledge, and strong news judgment. It also requires the ability to understand complex subjects, interpersonal skills, and a global mindset. With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to quality journalism, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of international affairs to my work.
