Claim your profileAward-winning veteran writer, editor and historian in Strategic Communications office at one of the largest private universities in the Southwest. Also experienced in sign design, and museum and archival work. Oversaw Abilene Christian University’s brand and communications work for 40 years, leading a talented team in Creative/Marketing Services to more than 300 awards from the American Advertising Federation and 150 regional awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). An Emmy-nominated producer with films that won 14 international Telly Awards. Projects directed won five awards in CASE international Circle of Excellence competition, including silver medals for ACU's Centennial Campaign film and ACU's student recruiting film, and a gold medal for the university’s Centennial book, The ACU Century. Also served as a judging coordinator for regional and international CASE competitions, and been a presenter at regional CASE conferences and workshops. During the university’s Centennial, received a Gutenberg award from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for distinguished professional achievement, as well as the John and Ruth Stevens Historical Hashknife Award for pioneering preservation of ACU history. Twice named the university’s Staff Member of the Year. Received Lifetime Achievement Award as inductee in 2024 to the ACU Sports Hall of Fame.
