Claim your profileRobyn is a media and communications advisor for the New South Wales Government in the Department of Regional New South Wales, in a role where she is able to continue to promoting the values of living, working, playing and investing in regional areas.Robyn has an extensive background in broadcast media, having worked as a journalist, newsreader, producer and presenter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation based in Dubbo.Prior to working for the ABC Robyn was the Local News Director at Macquarie Southern Cross Media, (now Southern Cross Austereo) in Cairns, where she wrote compiled and read news for three FM radio stations across two markets. Robyn has a Masters in Ethics and Legal Studies, with a media specialisation. Her dissertation ‘Facebook and Journalism: an ethical imperative for truthful communication’ evaluates the impact social media has had on the news media industry and why transparency between a media communicator and its audience is essential.
