Experienced academic and research engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education sector, with a broad experience in international activities including advising on setting up research parks. Currently leading the pan-university Insitute for Sustainability to lead and direct sustainability strategy and research. Skilled in Energy Materials, Solar Cells, Organic Electronics, Energy Storage, Nanomaterials, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy Technologies, Nanofabrication, Thin Film Characterization, and Nanoelectronics. Strong engineering professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Cambridge. I have advised governments in research and infrastructure funding as an expert at: EU, UNESCO, UK, Ireland, Portugal, France, Cyprus, Greece, USA, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, China, Sri Lanka etc. Publications include over 600 international journal papers, and have given over 650 talks at conferences. Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Arts and National Academy of Sri Lanka.
