Quratulain Tejani (or Q) is a versatile reporter/journalist who has dabbled in several beats in finance, business, climate/environment, technology, legal, gender, and politics for highly specialized professional audiences and everyday news consumers. Q is currently reporting on U.S. trends and market developments in cross-asset derivatives, volatility, alternative risk premia and other quantitative strategies for EQDerivatives, which provides news, content and analysis to pension funds, hedge funds, asset managers, foundations and endowments and insurers active in the said spaces. In the past, she has covered mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, investment trends, people moves and regulatory/legal actions in the financial services and fintech space, and every day business and tech news stories for newsrooms and trade publications like The Deal, Barron’s Advisor, New York Post etc. Q graduated from NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute with a Master’s in Journalism in 2022, where she experimented with various storytelling formats and tools like data, video, photo and took up some investigative work.
