For the past twenty-five years, I’ve balanced two professional roles—leading Synima, a global video and animation production company, and practising as a UKCP/COSRT-qualified psychotherapist. As Synima’s founder, I work with a talented international team to produce high-quality visual storytelling for businesses. What began as a two-person operation in London has grown into a thriving company with 60 team members across London, New York, Los Angeles, Zurich, and Amsterdam. Our work spans industries, but healthcare remains a central focus—bringing complex topics to life through engaging animation and video content. Alongside this, I’ve spent over two decades as a practicing psychotherapist. My work at www.quintboa.com has always emphasized the power of creative approaches in mental health communication. I’m particularly passionate about using animation to engage younger audiences, making mental health information more accessible and emotionally resonant. Through Synima, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading healthcare organizations to produce compelling content on critical mental health topics. I’ve also written a book on mental health and animation (To Infinity and Beyond) and host the podcast Shrinked by Quint, where I explore the intersection of healthcare, media, and innovation. These projects allow me to share insights and push the boundaries of how we communicate about mental well-being. At the core of everything I do is storytelling—whether through film, writing, or conversation—as a means to support and promote well-being. After all, your health is your wealth.
