Communications and Media Relations Leader. Award-Winning Magazine Editor. Drum Student. A storyteller at heart, I’ve worked with a variety of print and digital publications, nonprofit organizations, and consumer brands as a writer, editor, and content strategist. I enjoy crafting engaging profiles, reported features, first-person essays, and timely service pieces. In my current role as editor, I lead an editorial team, manage calendars and budgets, and oversee the production process of five regional lifestyle publications. Previously, I was a book publicist at one of the "Big 5" publishers. In that role I developed comprehensive publicity campaigns, planned and executed national book tours, crafted press material, and secured earned media. A few career highlights: appearing as a parenting expert on NBC Washington, interviewing Sarah Koenig of "Serial," being interviewed on Sirius XM radio, taking a selfie with Steve Martin, getting a driving lesson from a professional race car driver, and presenting twice at Alt Summit (a premier business conference for bloggers).
