As a news editor The Wenatchee World, I oversee our coverage of local government and public safety.Prior to my role as editor, I covered public safety, with an emphasis on wildfires, for seven years.Before The World, I worked as a general assignment reporter for a year in Kitsap County.I served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2003 as a multi-channel equipment operator and radio operator. During my enlistment, I deployed to Iraq in 2005 and again in 2006.Named as a Top 10 Veteran in Journalism by Military Veterans in Journalism in 2024.
