Returned to Adelaide in the mid-90s for a short stint at The Advertiser, then became Melbourne correspondent for The Age for a decade. (Still loving the David Hicks scoop, first one to get him.) In 2011 published a biography of Elliott Johnston QC, a communist lawyer who became a Supreme Court judge and later headed the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody. Red Silk: The Life of Elliott Johnston was published by Wakefield Press. Happily employed as a magazine writer at SA Weekend from 2008 -2020. Now freelancing and available for work.
