I work with editorial leadership and other teams to develop our news capabilities, and coordinate with product to enhance and improve tools used for news coverage. Previously, I worked as Managing Editor of Breaking News, leading a global team of reporters covering fast-moving stories, reporting on everything from terror attacks to elections. I also contributed to HuffPost Politics' coverage, where I monitored audience engagement; ran various social media channels; wrote headlines; edited photos and video; outfitted stories with multimedia elements; and more. I have a bachelor's degree in News-Editorial Journalism from West Virginia University and a master's degree in Interactive Journalism from American University. I'm a member of the October 2019 cohort of the Poynter Institute's Leadership Academy of Women In Digital Media. I'm also a former member of the WVU Reed College of Media's visiting committee.
