Claim your profileI am a writer, blogger, and editor for digital, print, and social media, with experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Based in New York City for 14 years, I currently write US news for The Independent, principally running live blogs on US politics and major criminal and civil trials. My previous focus was in financial journalism and I was a Content Development Manager for TXF, focused on export, project, trade, development, and commodity finance, where I produced both editorial copy and industry-leading conferences, with the latter gradually becoming the focus. Before that, I worked with freelance clients in content generation, marketing, and public relations, focused on the financial services, FinTech, development finance, travel, and real estate industries, in both the B2B and B2C spaces. During this time, I gained valuable experience in a fast-paced tabloid newsroom at MailOnline in New York. My career began at Euromoney Institutional Investor (now Delinian) where I built the online and social media presence for an industry-leading trade finance publication and oversaw an editorial calendar to daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines, managing both in-house staff and freelance writers. This also involved close collaboration with external partners on editorial projects and events, as well as launching new products and channels for the editorial content, as well as chairing conferences, and moderating panel discussions at both in-house and industry events around the world.
