Claim your profileI am currently the Health Care and Technology Reporter for the Nashville Business Journal. I previously I covered K-12 education in Southwest Florida for the Fort Myers News-Press and Naples Daily News as part of the USA Today Network. I helped cover Hurricane Ian both before, during and after the Category 4 hurricane. Before that I covered K-12 education, health and COVID-19 for the USA Today Network at the Daytona Beach News-Journal. I've covered general assignment, city and county government, entertainment and dining, health and COVID-19.I've won awards for COVID-19 coverage from the Florida Press Club, SPJ Florida and Florida Society of News Editors. I've also received an award for a co-bylined project Getting Past the Bad Days, a look into how the Volusia County School District was mistreating students with autism, going so far as to overuse the Baker Act on these students. I graduated from Flagler College with a BA in Journalism and Media Production. I was the Editor-in-Chief of my high school yearbook and was a radio DJ on WFCF 88.5 Flagler College Radio.
