I was a finalist for the 2023 Standardbred Canada Media Excellence Awards in the Outstanding Written Work category.My overall goal for the future is a career in journalism, in any aspect - broadcast, beat writing, reporting, editing, or writing a column.I love to write, and am very eager to learn how to become more effective in my field, particularly in the areas of newsgathering and storytelling. I'm very involved in the harness racing industry and have experience in dealing with some well-known figures in the sport. I have sat behind some of the sport's most storied journalists at some of its most prestigious events and am constantly following its news and stories.
