I'm a journalist with 18 years' experience in international, national and local media. The arts are the happy through-line of my career and have taken me half way round the world: from reporting and reviewing on the London and Edinburgh fringe; launching the Guardian's Culture Professionals Network; writing, editing and commissioning on the Guardian Culture desks in London and Sydney; and two years as head of media relations at the Serpentine Galleries. I'm now a senior editor at Cultureshock, working on magazines for some of the UK's leading cultural organisations. During the pandemic, I headed up the Lifestyle and Shopping teams at HuffPost UK, launching more than 20 content series, a lifestyle podcast and a site takeover by Black Ballad, while supporting multiple commercial partnerships. I'm as energetic a manager as I am editor, and believe in mentoring and helping develop the next generation of journalists so they feel empowered to represent the world as they really find it.
