Currently, he is the VP, Content Development for the Entertainment group at Outside, where he oversees all content development, strategy, and production Outside's video offering across web, app, FAST, and linear channels. Prior to joining Outside, Micah oversaw all editorial and branded content for the ASN portfolio of titles, including Powder, Snowboarder, and Surfer, as well as Men’s Journal. He served previously as an Editor In Chief of both websites and magazines, as well as a Director Of Programming for online video channels. His skill set includes writing, editing, video production, digital content strategy, branded content, and editorial team building and leadership. He has worked in the sports, men's general interest and technology categories. Micah has a track record of building new editorial properties and audiences in both start up environments and established media corporations. He's overseen staffs as large as 75 people, worked for divisions of publicly traded companies and bootstrapped independent businesses, and managed production budgets of tens of million of dollars. He's also managed production budgets of tens of dollars. In a freelance capacity, Micah has written and produced video for numerous national and international outlets. Most notably, he worked on the 2006 Winter Olympics broadcast for NBC and the 2008 Summer Olympics for NBCOlympics.com, for which he was awarded a Sports Emmy. He writes the voice-over narration for the annual Warren Miller Entertainment ski and snowboard film – the granddaddy of action sports films – every year. He's an accomplished skier, an avid surfer, and can still fall hard enough on a skateboard to make other skaters wince.
