Before joining The NewsHour's development, I spent more than two decades as an award-winning field producer for The PBS NewsHour. I have covered global health and national and international politics from five continents, seventeen countries, and 48 states. I was Project Director for $3 million grant from The Bill and Melinda Foundation for global health reporting. I am currently the Producer for an on-going PBS NewsHour series about innovation in higher education called Rethinking College. 2012 Producer, U.S. Presidential Campaign Field producer for the presidential campaigns of President Obama and candidate Mitt Romney. Floor producer for live coverage at the Democratic National Convention. Field producer for every U.S. presidential campaign since 1988. Also covered dozens of U.S. Senate and congressional races across America. 2008 – 2012 Producer/Project Director, Global Health Grantee, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Conceived, budgeted, planned, and managed foreign travel, editorial content, and international staff for broadcast and online news coverage under a $3 million grant from The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Produced documentary stories from 16 countries. Answered to an advisory board of internationally respected global health experts.
