Claim your profileMegan Vanselow is a multi-media journalist for KWTX in Waco, Texas covering the Temple/Belton area. She moved from Ohio to join the KWTX team in April of 2019. As the first remote journalist in the Waco market, Megan runs a one person bureau office out of her house. Shooting, editing, writing and reporting one-man-band style, Megan does it all on a laptop feeding stories back to the newsroom daily. With this format, Megan has the opportunity to work independently as a self-starter. Living in the community she's covering, she has developed strong connections in the town that give her an edge over competitors commuting to the city to cover its news. Megan's beat is the city she lives in, which gives her experience across the board, reporting breaking news, hard news and feature pieces. She does most of her live shots in the field, with experience reporting in studio, and in a make-shift home studio as well.In December of 2020 she helped launch a new hour of news to KWTX. She crafted the rundown template, produces and anchors the hour-long newscast each Saturday and Sunday. The newscast now leads the market on weekend mornings.
