Claim your profileWhether I am editing UN documents destined for international climate meetings, writing for the business-oriented professionals who read my work in The Economist or the science and history enthusiasts who read my books, I care deeply about making complex research easy to understand. Even so, I am not limited to just the written word. I have a passion for working with scientists and diplomats as they prepare presentations for major conferences and love transforming boring speeches into the stuff of pure poetry. I also have a fondness for speaking to scientists about how they can better collaborate with journalists when getting their work covered in the popular press (for collaboration is what it is) and speaking to general audiences about why the science behind seemingly insignificant things (like the humble sand castle worm) really matters. While I've written well over half a million words for The Economist to date, I've contributed hundreds of articles over the years to other publications including National Geographic, The New York Times, Nature, Science, Scientific American and New Scientist.
