I'm a seasoned political and investigative reporter based in Washington, D.C. who writes and researches pieces about dark money, extremism, and threats to democracy. Currently, I'm a Senior Staff Writer at Democracy Docket, where I cover voting rights and threats to democracy. Previously I was a Senior Investigative Politics Reporter at The American Independent and I spent two years as a Ben Bagdikian Investigative Reporting Fellow at Mother Jones , where I covered national and state-level campaigns, breaking news, and investigative features for the award-winning magazine.Prior to Mother Jones, I cut my teeth in local reporting, as the Associate Editor and Editor-in-Chief of DCist and as the Arts Editor for the Washington City Paper.
