I am dedicated to finding stories and the most interesting, worthy way of telling them. I have a passion for music journalism and features, but at the heart of it all is connection to people and what really matters about that story and what it might mean for the reader. I've written on everything from agriculture to education and beyond throughout my time as a journalist. I studied at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where I crafted my love for writing with a journalism degree and all the hands-on experience you can hope for at publications such as the Daily Beacon and the Knoxville Mercury newspapers. I added to that experience through my work at the Herald & Tribune where I crafted hundreds of community driven stories for over four years. Now, I'm telling the story of the Kingsport community.
