From a young age, I loved learning about how people think and behave and the factors that influence them. I attended UCLA and majored in psychology because I wanted to learn about what drives personal and social behavior. While I adored my professors and classes, some of the most important experiences I had were not in the classroom, but rather in the newsroom. While at UCLA, I was a photojournalist and editor for the university’s independent, student-run news organization, the Daily Bruin. My experience at the Bruin formed who I am today. It revealed a path to me that encompasses everything I loved studying: psychology, culture, and the media. Now, I am completing my Masters in Journalism at Medill, where I specialize in video and broadcast.
