My research looks at how authoritarian politics shapes decision-making in post-Soviet Central Asia, particularly Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. My teaching portfolio ranges widely across a number of courses related to the politics of post-Soviet Eurasia.I have substantive experience of policy engagement with governments, international organisations, and NGOs operating in the former Soviet space.
