Claim your profileKwanwoo Jun is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal’s real-time news team in Singapore, where he covers the Bank of Korea as well as South Korea's trade and finance ministries. Kwanwoo also covers markets, companies, North Korean issues, and other newsy stories on demand. His 2017 work on the brutal assassination of a half-brother of North Korea's dictator was recognized by the Society of Publishers in Asia for excellence in breaking news reporting.Before moving to Singapore, Kwanwoo was a Seoul-based WSJ reporter. Previously, he worked as a staff reporter for France's AFP newswire service and the Korea Herald newspaper. He earned a master’s degree in journalism from New York University after studying English at the Korea National University of Education.
