Claim your profileKristin Palitza has been working as a journalist in Germany, the US and South Africa for more than 15 years. She currently works as an Africa correspondent for Deutsche Presse Agentur (dpa) and has travelled the continent wide and far for many years. She has reported on the Ebola crisis out of Guinea and on terrorist group Boko Haram out of northern Nigeria. She has travelled to northern Mali to write about the Islamist insurgency, covered the civil war in Central African Republic and investigated child labour on Malawi's tobacco farms. Kristin also reported the Sahel hunger crisis out of Mauritania and interviewed human traffickers and migrants in Agadez, Niger. Every now and then, she tackles lighter topics, like Ghana's version of TV series "Sex and the City", Nigerian fashion or rhino rescue in South Africa.
