Claim your profileKirsten Errick is a journalist with experience reporting on a wide variety of topics. Kirsten is currently covering solar power as a renewable energy and climate reporter at S&P Global Commodity Insights. She previously covered the DoD for Federal News Network, federal technology for Nextgov as well as legal technology and mergers and acquisitions for Law Street Media. Kirsten recently earned her master’s degree in journalism at Georgetown University, where she learned to fine-tune her skills as a journalist and broaden her experience. Her Master's capstone on D.C. LED streetlight conversion project was published in Route Fifty. Kirsten is used to writing under tight deadlines, generating her own ledes, pitching stories, and engaging in source building. Kirsten has also moderated panels and spoken on and hosted podcasts. Kirsten received a BA in Communication specializing in journalism from Villanova University with a minor in art history, which has helped sharpen her communication and observational skills. She is also knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. She has some Wordpress experience too. Kirsten is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. She served as Treasurer for Georgetown's SPJ chapter. She is currently based out of Washington, D.C.
