Claim your profileI love scooping dirt—either as a reporter or conservation volunteer. I'm seeking new opportunities to integrate my media expertise with my passion for the environment. I’m a journalist, author, and researcher with more than a decade of experience producing change-making investigations for major magazines like New York as well as fast-paced digital outlets like The Daily Beast and Politico. I have extensive experience in broadcast media as a commentator on national television and radio channels like CNN, MSNBC, and NPR, and as the host of a popular political podcast for The Daily Beast. As author of the book “Off The Edge: Flat Earthers, Conspiracy Culture, and Why People Will Believe Anything” (Hachette, 2022), I’m a frequent public speaker, collaborating with industry-leading documentary companies like Netflix and giving guest lectures at prominent institutions including Stanford University and SXSW. I’ve led teams and launched a pair of successful newsletters, one at Politico and one independent. I’m details-driven, good for a soundbite, practiced with public records systems, and probably the only person to break news about Taylor Swift via New York’s Freedom of Information Law. Outside of work, I am passionate about the planet and volunteer with public lands nonprofits that protect wildlife and expand access to nature around New York’s Hudson Valley. My ideal job is one that allows me to put my research and communications experience to work in service of conservation, the climate, and community.
