Claim your profileI joined my high school newspaper after hearing you could skip classes to do interviews. I never thought it would go anywhere because the news never felt like it was for me. It was always something older people worried about. After working on a piece about a fellow student transitioning, my life and outlook on the news completely changed. I was instantly captivated by the power of storytelling and promised I'd show other people, especially those my age, why following the news is so important. Throughout my career, whether at NBC, CBS, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! News, and more, I've always tried to present the news to people in an approachable way that made them part of the conversation. The more I learn, the more I'm able to do that and I'm not slowing down. I'm hoping to continue joining brands that want to bring humanity at the forefront of every conversation.
