Claim your profileAs Political Correspondent, Katherine has interviewed both the current Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the former PM Rishi Sunak for GB News. In 2024 she accompanied Sunak on trips to Warsaw, Berlin and Vienna, and Starmer to Washington, Rome and Budapest. Katherine routinely brings GB News viewers up to date with the biggest political stories from 6am on the channel’s award-winning breakfast show (which consistently beats Sky’s ratings). She has covered the biggest breaking stories: from the mini-budget and Liz Truss’s resignation (ten hours straight outside No 10), to Europe’s reaction to Trump’s victory as leaders met at the EPC in Hungary.Katherine has interviewed dozens of senior cabinet and shadow cabinet ministers on behalf of the broadcast pool, often leading to strong news lines. She has broken exclusive stories on the channel, including one from Sunak in Vienna the day before he called the election, and an interview with former PM Boris Johnson.Coming from Yorkshire, Katherine is keenly aware of the need to reach beyond Westminster. She relished touring the UK with Labour and the Conservatives during the election campaign.She led the channel’s coverage of the Infected Blood scandal and the Assisted Dying Bill, but is equally at home discussing long-range missiles and northern transport.Before moving to an on-air role, Katherine was editor of The Briefing with Gloria de Piero, the channel’s flagship politics show at the time.Prior to moving to broadcast full-time, Katherine worked at The Sunday Times, as assistant editor of News Review, and interviewed MPs for Tim Shipman’s Brexit books. Previous television includes political commentary on Sky and on the BBC.
