I've covered elections, wildfires, shootings, awards shows, vaccine scams, drought restrictions and nearly everything in between. Prior to joining The Times' City Hall bureau, I spent two years helming The Times' daily Essential California newsletter, delivering colorful dispatches from around the state (many of which also ran as print columns in the Sunday paper). I was also part of the team that was a 2022 Pulitzer Prize finalist for work covering a fatal shooting on the set of the film “Rust.” Before joining The Times, I was the editor in chief of LAist.
