Claim your profileI write about environmental issues in the Mountain West, including climate change, water resources and the fight over public lands. Politics, business and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., have been my past beats during an award-winning career primarily in radio and newspapers. I transitioned from newspaper journalism to radio in 2014, when I joined the newsroom at NPR Utah, KUER 90.1. I occasionally covered breaking stories for National Public Radio. I have been a guest on RadioWest, KUER's public affairs program, as well as Here & Now, 1A and The Takeaway. I also have collaborated with KUED 7, the Salt Lake City PBS affiliate, on a documentary, Utah's Uncertain Water Future, and co-wrote the recent documentary, Battle Over Bears Ears. I serve on the board of directors for the Society of Environmental Journalists. I'm a longtime member of Investigative Reporters and Editors. If you have a Mountain West story to share about the climate, energy or the environment, I'd love to hear it. You can contact me at 801-703-8846 or at judy.fahys@insideclimatenews.org.
