Claim your profileWith more than a decade experience in broadcasting, Joshua Bolden has been a reporter, anchor and producer for WVVA based in Bluefield, WV for nine years. Starting as a one-man-band in June of 2016 covering general assignment stories across nine counties before being promoted to weekend anchor in 2017. In January 2018 he began his role as co-anchor of WVVA Today and solo anchor & producer of WVVA News @ Noon. He spent several years as a radio news anchor at AM1480 WBBP (2011-2015) and radio personality for WUMR U92FM (2011-2016). He interned at WHBQ-TV in Memphis. He also worked for FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” The Memphis, Tennessee native earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Memphis, where he double-majored in broadcast & multimedia as well as foreign language (Spanish). Joshua is alumni of the Knight-City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism Summer Program where he developed the news division for WHCR in Harlem. His awards and accolades include: the Shott Excellence in Media Award (2019), University of Memphis' Lurene Kelley Video Award (2015), Emerging Journalist of the Year Award (2013) University of Memphis' NABJ's Ida B. Wells Award (2012) Joshua’s work has been featured in publications including Memphis' The Commercial Appeal, Tri-State Defender & The Lamplighter.
