Her tenure included the launch of the Association’s first influencer marketing program, which was named the "Best Use of Influencer Marketing of 2020" by the Content Marketing Institute. Her team was also awarded “Best Social Media of 2019” by the Construction Media Alliance for its multi-pillar approach to social media – including user-generated content, influencer marketing, owned content, and paid advertising - for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020. Equipment World's special report, “Construction’s Silent Killer,” earned a 2023 Construction Media Alliance award and a 2024 Jesse H. Neal award for Best Series. Waldschmidt holds a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications and certificates in social media management and digital art and culture from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
