Claim your profileHighly driven, skilled and versatile journalist, writer, editor and content strategist with over 25 years of experience in digital and print media. I have travelled extensively, reporting from more than 30 countries and covering a wide range of topics. Having previously held full-time positions as Head of Content, Editor and Staff Writer, since 2012 I have worked on a freelance basis, developing close partnerships with a range of clients. Driven by a passion for sport and a fascination of how the business side of it works, I specialise in this industry, writing about key developments across the sector. My work on the sports industry has been published by The Times, The Observer, The Independent and The Sun, as well as SportBusiness, Off The Pitch, FC Business, Leonard Curtis and Zero Carbon Academy. I have also contributed to BBC Radio 5 Live, Middle East Eye, The Scotsman, Rediff.com., World Soccer, When Saturday Comes, Wisden Cricket Monthly and School Sport. Away from sport, I have held full-time and freelance roles at a number of global B2B publishers. I was the Founding Editor of Twist - a magazine covering the latest developments across the fashion industry supply chain. The title was published by World Textile Information Network (WTiN). Following the success of the launch of Twist I was promoted to Head of Content at WTiN. In this newly-created role I was responsible for developing WTiN's digital content and social media presence as the company evolved from being a magazine publisher to a market-leading media company across all platforms. Other positions I have held include Chief Correspondent at the B2B news agency International News Services. This role involved extensive travel, interviewing industry leaders and businesses across Asia, Africa and South America. I covered a wide variety of topics, including energy, mining, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food & drink, and higher education. I have also built up a significant amount of copywriting experience. I worked as a freelance copywriter for the Swedish chemicals company Polygiene, which provides a range of technologies to sportswear and fashion brands. In addition, I have produced website copy, native advertising and press releases for a number of other clients.
