As a long-time member of Investigative Reporters & Editors, watchdog journalism is my purpose. Whether it's politicians and government officials run amok, or emerging voices in activism and culture, proudest when our reporting helps bring positive change to our community. Brought those same skills to learning how to help our advertising clients as a digital agency -- the most promising revenue opportunity for growing local journalism. Immediate Past Board president of the Association of Alternative Newsmedia (aan.org), board treasurer to the National Association of Hispanic Publications (nahp.org), and former board member of the Mildred D. Brown Memorial Study Center, owners of the Omaha Star -- the oldest Black female founded and run newspaper in the U.S. and founding member of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (nnpa.org). On a mission to secure journalism investments and introduce digital services to alternative & ethnic media around the country to support local journalism in underserved and underreported communities. Looking forward to bringing lessons learned there to reinventing journalism in a digital age.
