Claim your profileWith 15 years of experience in the health space since qualifying in medicine in 2009, I am a senior executive editor at The Lancet, one of the world's leading medical journals. I hold three formal degrees in medicine, public health, and medical anthropology, and have worked at national and international levels in various roles in the health sector and policy world from co-founding and directing a medical education company to a jobbing clinician and senior leader at The Lancet. My mission is to improve the health of people and the planet, with a focus on women and health, technology and health, and climate and health - particularly sustainable and resilient health systems. As a senior executive editor, I sit on the senior leadership group, lead on clinical content and strategy, and champion the research integrity, publication ethics, and open access policies of The Lancet Group. I am an experienced collaborative and inclusive people manager. Additionally, I drive thought leadership through writing editorials and comments, speaking at conferences and events, and moderating and convening discussions on key health topics. I leverage my background as a surgeon, a National Medical Director's Fellow, and an editor/scientist to bring a diverse and informed perspective to my work.
