Claim your profileI’m a freelance journalist, researcher and analyst, serving a variety of clients across the world. My work ranges from editing and features, to in-depth reports and public relations material. I specialise in energy matters, from regulation and economics to markets and production, with a particular recent focus on the energy transition. I can also write on other subjects. Over the past ten years my clients have included a number of the world’s leading companies. For examples of my work please see the published material section and regular blog posts on my website: http://www.tellingsense.com A client list is also available. I focus on producing well researched, in-depth, analytical articles, but can turn my hand to most written material, including policy documents, specialist marketing material, research and consulting. I have over twenty years full time experience in the energy, specialist energy media and utility sectors in a variety of editorial, research and management positions in both Europe and Asia. Before freelancing, I worked for five years at IHS in Singapore as Midstream Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, followed by a short spell as CERA Associate Director, Emerging Markets, before returning to the UK to care for my son after the death of his mum. The work involved research and analysis of the oil, gas and power sectors, primarily in the Asia Pacific region. I also contributed to marketing, product development, recruitment and client support, as well as support to consulting. I developed a strong track record in published work and conference presentations across Asia whilst at IHS. Before IHS, I worked for two years as Senior Asian Energy Correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires in Singapore, where I was responsible for Asian OPEC coverage, Asian market coverage, interviews and editorials. I also wrote for the Asian Wall Street Journal. Prior to Dow Jones I worked at Energy Argus for five years in London and Singapore, where roles included editing the daily Asia-Pacific refined products news and price report, and writing articles on all aspects of the energy business.
