Claim your profileHi! I'm Jeff Weiner, the Orlando Sentinel's Content Director for Local News. A native New Yorker, I grew up in Bradenton, Fla., and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in journalism. I've been working at the Sentinel since the summer of 2010, starting out on the night shift crime beat before moving throughout the newsroom to cover courts and later Orlando City Hall, as well as federal, state and local elections, among other topics. I became an editor for Sentinel's Justice & Safety team, overseeing a staff of reporters who covered crime, courts and law enforcement. Now, I run the Local News division, a team of reporters and editors who cover local government, the criminal justice system, public health, social services, race and demographics in Central Florida, among other topics.
