I'm an experienced journalist with over 23 years experience, over nine of which have been in a managerial role.After graduating from the University of Teesside (Darlington College of Journalism) with BA HONS journalism degree in 1998, I got a job with TEAMtalk.com in Leeds, starting as a trainee sports journalist, initially on a part-time basis to help with their World Cup coverage.My employment soon became permanent and, as the website grew, I was promoted to sub-editor.Over the coming years we became TEAMtalk Media Group and won lucrative contracts with 3, Orange and Vodafone as well as acquiring a portfolio of sporting websites after being taken over by UK Betting and becoming 365 Media Group.I was appointed TEAMtalk.com Deputy Editor in 2008, which eventually lead to a buy-out from SkySports.com.Since August 2013, I assumed the role of Acting Internet Editor, before taking the role permanently in 2014.Since then, I have overseen all editorial decisions for TEAMtalk.com, managing a team of six permanent and a number of freelance editorial writers.In 2015 we were acquired by Ole Media, which in 2021 has been rebranded to Planet Sport Group. During this period, we have grown audiences year on year and now a strong product that stands out in a congested market.
