I am an established television broadcaster and presenter with 20 years experience on screen for BBC Television. I am most known for my role hosting prime time news and current affairs show, Inside Out North West but I regularly reported and presented on BBC News, North West Tonight, The Crimewatch Roadshow and hosted my own series on daytime television. I started out working in the House of Commons for an MP but it wasn’t long before my passion for politics took me to the US House of Representatives, where I regularly advised on policy, as well as brushed shoulders with President Clinton and other Senior US politicians. Today I am a freelance broadcaster, podcaster and the co-founder of Pipe Up Media, a communications consultancy focussing on supercharging communication skills through public speaking and on screen media skills. I am passionate about being the host of "Be The Standard '' an impressive northern business club formed alongside Rugby England defence coach Kevin Sinfield, Leeds Rhinos legend Jamie Jones Buchanan and Sedulo Founder, Paul Cheetham Karcz. It offers a programme of support that mirrors that of an elite athlete with access to world class speakers and more. The club focuses on helping members to be the best version of themselves and I regularly introduce, as well as interview world class business leaders and elite athletes.
