Claim your profileI manage radio bulletins in seven languages for BBC Global Newsbeat. The aim is to produce content that attracts the youth in a manner that is lively and not entrenched in the conservatism of news broadcasting. In this regard, I am involved with hiring staff in bureaus and conducting one on one training with them. These sessions involve an introduction and understanding of BBC Editorial Guidelines, radio production using Adobe Audition and ENPS housekeeping. I also work with producers to help them develop their youthful, yet unique style of delivery while ensuring that the content is editorially youth driven. During my time as SBJ for Global Newsbeat, I have also managed the area of business development. I am involved in the critical stage of pilot production with local languages staff in London to create a a sample that can then be presented to partner stations in respective countries. With an average duration of two minutes, the bulletins attempt to deliver news in short format on FM channels in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tanzania, Indonesia, Cairo and Senegal. The bulletins are also digitally suitable as they have content that is sharable across social media platforms like AudioBoom and SoundCloud as well as talkable content that derives audience feedback on Facebook. In this regard, I send out talkable and sharable stories twice a day and also ensure that digital content sent forth by the BBC Digital Hub is utilized by all seven outputs. I am a hardworking, driven and meticulous journalist who has worked on all three platforms of broadcast journalism; online, radio and TV. I strive to embody BBC Editorial Guidelines of impartiality and fairness in my daily workflow.
